RussellStone Agri

RussellStone Agri (RSA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the RussellStone Group. The team, invests, operates and manages various agricultural assets around South Africa, on behalf of private international investors. With the experience of the team and the success to date, the intention is to diversify further into South Africa and other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa with additional agricultural investments.

Nowhere else in the world, besides Sub-Saharan Africa, are agricultural land values a function of their cash flow dynamics anymore. Land in South America is seven times more expensive than in South Africa and is utilized for the same underlying agricultural activity with the same soils, climates and yields. This provides the ideal opportunity to leverage this arbitrage opportunity and simultaneously generate above average cash flow returns. The investment premise is based on a similar model to the commercialized agricultural investment companies in South America with the adoption of No-Till technology, GMO’s and Precision Farming. Through the pooling of resources and expertise, the business generates substantial economies of scale and influence, as opposed to the perfect competition environment in which most individual farmers operate in.
